Front of a Neighborhood House
Description
One-story neighborhood house in the coastal town of Luquillo. The house has a flat roof, lattice-style windows, and single doors with lattice-style windows. In front of the house there is a sidewalk on which there is a mailbox. The entrance of the house has a low concrete block wall. To the far left there is a carport with patio chairs and decorative pots. There are also hanging potted plants. To the far right an open walkway where there is a small garden that leads to the balcony can be seen. The balcony is also open and has decorative potted plants. To both sides of the house there are backyards with trashcans and clotheslines. These are divided by metal bars and houses with the same characteristics. The title, date, and address were provided by the Architecture and Construction Archive of the University of Puerto Rico (AACUPR). In the file provided by the archive, the following information is clarified: "Fotógrafo: Carol F. Jopling, estudiantes de arquitectura o Earth Watch Volunteers". On the back of the image there are handwritten notes that say: "Fig. 195, CAJ|0132|F0002". There are repeated photos in the collection because they document other formats created for the project. Examples: 35mm negatives, color, black and white, instant photographs, photos that have been brightened or with contrast. The image is darker.
