Descripción decolonial
The railway bridge that brings together the San Juan islet and the area of Santurce remains as part of the brief coexistence between the railroad and the ascent of the automotive industry, represented by the billboard promoting Fisk tires. This competition between means of transportation speaks of a transformation where an agrarian model was losing ground to a professionalization of the work force. Likewise, the automobile was part of the capitalist framework in which consumerism and foreign economy started to cement in a modern Puerto Rico.
