Description

Exterior view of the Casa Paoli located on the Mayor street from the coastal city of Ponce. The house has one floor with characteristics of the Neoclassic style. The patio has the floor covered with ceramic tiles, the rear facade has a chimney, oculus and lattice style windows made of wood. It also has double doors, one of them is presided by stairs crowned with wooden eaves. The Casa Paoli was built in 1871 and 1883, being the residence of the family of the well known Puerto Rican tenor Antonio Emilio Paoli y Marcano. It was remodeled in 1914 and later on the 1920s. Over the years it has been used as a family residence and more recently as a museum house. In addition, it belongs to the National Register of Historic Places since 2009.
