Casa Oppenheimer - Ponce - 2014 00008

Description

View of the interior of the Oppenheimer house located on the Salud street from the coastal city of Ponce. The house has one level made of brick masonry with characteristics of the Art Nouveau style and of the Escuela de Barcelona. On the interior spaces you can see the ceiling decorated with an ornamental coffered and decorative frames on the walls. In addition, there is a double door made of wood and glass crowned with an open transom without frame. Through the door you can distinguish an adjacent room where there are semicircular openings. The Oppenheimer residence dates of 1913, it was built for Ms. Isabel Oppenheimer de Santiago. Years later, in 1987 it was included in the National Register of Historic Places.
