Description
Main façade of a house built on stilts in the town of Luquillo. The house is wooden with a zinc, gabled roof. On the first floor, the house has a clothesline. To the far right, the house has concrete, railing-less stairs. In the front, there is a balcony surrounded by a wooden railing sustained by fine, wooden columns. The balcony is decorated with hanging flower pots, and in the upper part, there is a metallic awning. The door is a screen door, the windows are lattice-style, and are surrounded by wooden moldings. In the file provided by the archive, the following information is clarified: "Fotógrafo: Carol F. Jopling, estudiantes de arquitectura o Earth Watch Volunteers". Some of the photos found in the archives of this collection are repeated and show the same houses because they document other formats created for the research project led by Carol F. Jopling and were taken on different occasions (example: 35mm negatives, color, black and white, instant photos, photos that were brightened or with contrast).
