Ruins of Villa del Mar, commonly known as El Castillo, in Naguabo. View of the rear part of the two-story house built with reinforced concrete whose design combines native architecture with elements from the Late Victorian style. You can observe an overhang balcony with balusters, brackets and two door openings followed by a window opening. You can see the bottom part of the wall from the second floor. It can also be observed the rear patio of the house, a small paved area close to the seashore, on its border there are two low square poles that marks the access to a pier that does not exists anymore. Next to the house you can see the beginning of the esplanade. Villa del Mar was built in 1917 for Faustino Rodríguez Fuertes and his wife, Carmen Fuertes, owners of Central Triunfo. In the 1980s it was acquired, remodeled and turned into a restaurant by the businessman Arnaldo Castro.
