Carlos Vasallo Hacienda - 88001848
View of Carlos Vasallo Hacienda, also known as Don Oscar Nevárez Hacienda, and Río Nuevo Hacienda, in the coastal town of Dorado. The wooden house is a one-level building on brick stilts with a hipped roof made of wood and zinc. Bordering the house is a balcony with a side staircase and a concrete railing supported by concrete pillars that hold its roof. Also, several wooden double-leaf doors crowned with transoms are visible. A wooden ranch with a hipped roof without walls is seen on the far left. Although constructions in this area have been documented since 1511 when Juan Ponce de León settled there, the exact date of this construction is not known; it is estimated between 1849-1861.
