Lateral and rear facade pf the Punta de la Tuna lighthouse, located in a peninsula of the Maunabo municipality, in the southeast of Puerto Rico. The architectonic style of the lighthouse corresponds to the Neoclassic. Its facade is characterized by a socle, moldings, a cornice crowned with a parapet and French windows. The lighthouse surface is painted yellow that alternates with white details. The octagonal tower projects out in the middle of the lighthouse on which it elevates a gallery with a wrought iron balustrade and a lantern, also made of wrought iron, copper and glass. The lantern is crowned with a dome and a weather vane. The lighthouse Punta de la Tuna, also known as the Punta Tuna lighthouse, has a third order Fresnel lens. Its design dates from 1890 and its construction finished in 1893.
